Watercolor Style Guide

In preparation for the release of our Watercolor 2023 Collection, we're sharing 7 tips and advice on how to style your watercolor and any multicolored jewelry pieces you have.

Start with a neutral base

When wearing multicolored jewelry, it's important to start with a neutral base outfit. This means wearing clothing in neutral colors such as black, white, gray, beige, or navy. This allows the jewelry to stand out and be the focal point of your outfit.

Choose a dominant color

Select one color from your multicolored jewelry piece to serve as the dominant color. This will help tie your outfit together and create a cohesive look. You can choose the dominant color based on your personal preferences or the colors in your outfit.

Coordinate with complementary colors

After choosing a dominant color, coordinate with complementary colors. These are colors that are opposite the dominant color on the color wheel. For example, if the dominant color is blue, the complementary color is orange. By coordinating with complementary colors, you create balance and harmony in your outfit.

Mix metals carefully

When wearing multicolored jewelry, it's important to mix metals carefully. While it's perfectly acceptable to mix metals, you want to make sure they complement each other. For example, silver and gold can look great together, but mixing silver and rose gold may clash.

Consider the occasion

Consider the occasion when choosing to wear your watercolor jewelry. For more formal events, it's best to stick with simple, understated pieces. For casual events, you can be more playful with your jewelry choices.

Experiment with layering

Layering is a great way to add depth and dimension to your multicolored jewelry. You can layer necklaces of different lengths or stack bracelets of varying widths. Just be careful not to overdo it - you don't want your jewelry to overpower your outfit.

Trust your instincts

Ultimately, the best way to wear multicolored jewelry is to trust your instincts. If you love a particular piece and feel confident wearing it, go for it! Confidence is the key to pulling off any look.
